My portfolio covers urban and street, abstract, underwater, and portrait photography. I also enjoy combining those genres whenever possible.
Urban and street photography
I enjoy wandering through the streets of Berlin, capturing the city’s vibrant atmosphere in my images. Berlin serves as a dynamic stage where the diverse stories of its inhabitants unfold.
Abstract street photography
To capture the buzzing and always-in-motion vibe of a big city, it helps to blur away the details—like halfway closing the eyes. I use techniques of intentional camera movement (ICM) to add a sense of movement to my pictures.
Portrait photography
In my portrait work, I focus on scenes where subjects engage with their surroundings.
Underwater photography
As a technical diver and cave diver I have access to “lost places” most people don’t have—like old shipwrecks or abandoned mines. Whenever I explore these places I carry my camera not merely to document but to reveal their “outer-world” beauty.
